DANCE STYLES

JAZZ  - An energetic and fun style of dance. Jazz consists of dynamic movements, big leaps and quick turns.

HIP HOP  - Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles, primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture.

MODERN(CONTEMPORARY OR LYRICAL) - This style was originally created as a rebellion against classical ballet. Performed bare feet, with controlled movements that demonstrate a close connection to and understanding of the music. Must demonstrate balance, flexibility and control.

CLASSICAL BALLET - Severing as the backbone to many styles of dance. Ballet is based on techniques that have been developed over centuries.

ACRO - In acrobatics students learn an impressive combination of tumbling, flips, circus moves and strength work.

MUSICAL THEATRE - A genre of drama in which singing and dancing play an essential role.

TAP - Tap dancing is an exciting style of dance in which the dancers wear special shoes equipped with metal taps to make different rhythmic patterns and beats.

TROUPE – Eisteddfod Troupe is by invitation ONLY.  Eisteddfod Troupe students are our elite students that want to take dance seriously. Troupe students are required to compete at numerous eisteddfods between Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast. 

TINY TOTS – A 30 minute class for our youngest dancers to get moving and grooving. This dance class provides pre-school aged kids with the foundations of a dance class; learning the beginnings of movement, making new friends and having fun with music.
